American Bach Soloists strive to retain reasonable ticket prices even though sales cover only about 40% of the cost of presenting these outstanding concerts. Tax incentive for donors aged 70 ½ or older

The clock is ticking on a tax law which allows people aged 70 1/2 and older to make charitable contributions directly from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA). The law, which expires December 31, 2011, allows a qualified donor to make charitable contributions directly from their Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA). This new law means that a qualified donor can make a gift to the American Bach Soloists from an IRA without claiming it as taxable income or using it as a deduction—in effect, having no impact on income or taxes. The gift counts toward the annual required minimum distribution.
Simply contact your IRA custodian for the necessary forms to transfer a gift to ABS.
