KRISTIN ZOERNIG (contrabass) received her formal training
at Interlochen Arts Academy, National Music Camp, School
of Music at Northwestern University, Norwegian State Academy
of Music and Johannesen International School of the Arts.
Teachers have included Gary Karr, Knut Guettler, Dan Styffe,
Ketil Haugsand, Jeff Bradetich, Jack Budrow and Christopher
Brown. Her career has taken her around the U.S. and Norway,
and to Canada, Sweden, and Iceland. She has performed with
Oslo Philharmonic, Norwegian Baroque Orchestra, Norwegian
Opera, Oslo Orchestra, Oslo Sinfonietta, Norwegian Chamber
Orchestra, Norwegian String Quartet, and Bergen Philharmonic.
Locally, she freelances with Bay Area ensembles including
American Bach Soloists, American Classical Soloists, Magnificat,
Philharmonia Baroque, San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco
Ballet Orchestra, San Jose Symphony, Sacramento Symphony
and Ballet Orchestras, and California Symphony, in addition
to her work as soloist and chamber musician.
