SANFORD STADTFELD (trombone) is a native San Franciscan who has performed with a diverse range of symphonies, chamber ensembles and jazz groups over a period of more than thirty years. Mr. Stadtfeld specializes in sackbut and historical trombone, and has appeared and recorded with Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, the American Bach Soloists, Magnificat, Chanticleer, the Newberry Consort, and the Vancouver Cantata Singers. He holds a B.S. degree from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and a M.S. from the University of California, Berkeley. Mr. Stadtfeld is a long-time member of the acclaimed Renaissance wind band The Whole Noyse, who have performed the 1610 Vespers, as well as numerous other major period productions, with ensembles throughout the United States and Canada.
