| CATHLEEN ELLIS STADECKER
(soprano), a native of the San Francisco Bay Area, recently
moved back after spending several years in Boston and New
York City. She loves singing early music and has performed
with numerous ensembles, including Pomerium, New York Collegium,
Vox Vocal Ensemble, Tiffany Consort, Bach Vespers at Holy
Trinity, Boston Bach Ensemble, Choir of the Church of the
Advent, Philharmonia Baroque Chorale, San Francisco Bach
Choir, and Musica Angelica. She has appeared as a soloist
in Monteverdi's Vespers, Carissimi's Jephte, Schütz's Musikalische
Exequien and Psalms of David, J.S. Bach's
St. John Passion and Mass in B Minor, Handel's
Israel in Egypt and Messiah, and Haydn's Creation.
Cathleen received her BA degree cum laude from Columbia
University in 1996 with a double major in English and Music.
She also completed an M.Phil degree in Renaissance Literature
at Cambridge University, where she was awarded a choral scholarship
with the Trinity College Chapel Choir. Cathleen has a JD
from Columbia Law School and is currently practicing litigation
with Morrison & Foerster, LLP.
