JAMES NICHOLAS MONIOS (bass) began his musical career in southern California while earning the Master of Arts and Bachelor of Music degrees from UC Santa Barbara and CSU Long Beach, respectively. Before relocating to San Francisco in 1991, he held teaching positions at UC Santa Barbara, College of the Desert, and Cerritos College. Mr. Monios has sung and recorded with numerous local ensembles, including Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, San Francisco and Berkeley Symphonies, and Magnificat Orchestra. He is bass soloist at Congregation Sherith-Israel and Church of the Advent, both in San Francisco. In addition to singing, Mr. Monios teaches at the Music Conservatory at San Domenico School and St. Luke's School, while maintaining a private studio in San Francisco.
