COREY HEAD (tenor) comes from Boulder, Colorado where he studied at the University of Colorado to obtain both his Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Vocal Music. While there, Corey performed many character roles including Don Curzio in Le Nozze di Figaro and Abraham Kaplan in Street Scene. Corey has also sung with the Colorado Opera Festival Company Singers and with Des Moines Metro Opera's young artist program. Other roles include Goro in Madama Butterfly, Frantz in Les Contes D'Hoffmann, Lucano in L'Incoronazione di Poppea and Cecco in World on the Moon by Haydn. Local appearances include the Count Commander in Verdi's Un Giorno di Regno (Pocket Opera) and Don Basilio in Le Nozze di Figaro (West Marin Music Festival). Oratorio roles include the title role in Carissimi's Jepthe, Ahasuereus in Handel's Esther, and tenor soloist in Bach's Magnificat under the direction of Helmut Rilling.
