PETER HALLIFAX (viol) moved to the Bay Area in 1976. He was a founding member of Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra, and instrumental faculty member at U.C. Berkeley and U.C. Santa Cruz. Presently a specialist in the late French repertoire (the music of Forqueray, Marais, and Dolle), he nevertheless enjoys playing the entire repertoire of the viol whenever possible.
