| JEFFREY BARNETT
(tenor), while comfortable in a broad range of music, is heard
most often in oratorio and art song. Since 1995, he has performed
more than a dozen lieder recitals across California and the
Midwest featuring major song cycles of Schubert, Schumann,
and Beethoven. His many orchestra roles include the Mozart
Requiem, Handel's Messiah, and the Christmas
Oratorios of Bach and Saint-Saens. He has been soloist
for leading cathedral churches in San Francisco, Cleveland,
and Minneapolis and is a former member of the acclaimed professional
choir, Dale Warland Singers. His recent engagements include
the South Dakota Symphony, Palo Alto Chamber Orchestra, Albany
Consort, San Francisco Concert Choir, and an all-Bach recital
with members of Philharmonia Baroque. He is a student of Donald
Stenberg and has coached and performed extensively with pianist
Laura Dahl of Stanford University.
